We apply the exact same heavy-duty engineering to our walkways as we do to our large-scale patios.
Precision Layout & Grading
We map the path with laser levels and altimeters and pitch it for proper drainage, so you’re not dealing with puddles or icy patches later on.
Excavation & Sub-Base
We build up a solid base of recycled crushed aggregate, compacting it in gradual layers, then top it with a thin layer of 10mm limestone fines screeded smooth and flat.
Perfect Leveling
We add a 3/4” layer of 10mm limestone fines, screeded out to ensure every single paver sits perfectly flush, eliminating tripping hazards.
Borders & Finishing
Once your paver pattern is down, we lock the edges with a hidden “snap-edge” restraint, then sweep G2 polymeric sand into the joints and set it with water. The hardened joints hold the path together and keep weeds and ants from working their way up through it.

It depends on the finish. Textured pavers give you much better grip, and that’s what we recommend for walkways that have to get through a Calgary winter.
Far less than with older sand-swept paths. The G2 polymeric sand we use hardens in the joints, which leaves weeds very little room to take hold.
Most residential walkways can be excavated, prepped, and installed within a few days, depending on the length and weather conditions.

While we use quality materials and proper installation techniques, these natural characteristics of wood make it unsuitable for inclusion in our standard warranty coverage.
